What is ParallaxOS?

A sovereign rail-compliance, scheduling and AI platform for Australian rail subcontractors. It puts RIW cards, rail medicals, drug & alcohol testing, fatigue, site inductions, competencies, scheduling, timesheets, invoicing and RTO/AVETMISS into one system — so a worker is only ever allocated to a shift they are genuinely cleared for.

Who is it for?

Australian rail subcontractors and labour-hire crews working across networks like ARTC, Sydney Trains, Aurizon and TfNSW, plus the AHP medical and RIW recertification networks. It also runs the student side for RTOs delivering rail qualifications.

How does the compliance gate actually work?

Every shift allocation runs a six-clause eligibility check against a live, per-worker compliance snapshot: a current RIW card, an in-date rail medical (including the right medical category for the work), recent drug & alcohol clearance, cumulative-hours fatigue, the required site/network inductions, and the required competencies. A non-compliant allocation is blocked — with a signed, fully audited override path for genuine emergencies.

How is fatigue calculated?

From real electronic-work-diary hours over rolling 24-hour, 48-hour and 7-day windows (HVNL-style caps that each tenant can tighten). The check includes the hours of the shift being proposed and a minimum-rest-before-shift rule, so a worker who is near the cap can't be pushed over by the new shift. FAID Quantum certified scoring can be layered in once that licence is in place.

Where does RIW / medical / D&A data come from?

Cards, clearances and test results are held per worker and drive the gate directly. The platform is built to sync from the Pegasus/RIW and AHP medical networks once connector credentials are issued; until then those records are maintained in-app, and the gate behaves identically either way.

Does it handle RTO training and AVETMISS?

Yes. For registered training organisations it manages students, enrolments and completions, verifies USIs, and generates compliant AVETMISS NAT files for reporting — with student personal information encrypted at rest.

Where is my data hosted, and is it sovereign?

Entirely in Australia: PostgreSQL in AWS Sydney (ap-southeast-2). Tenants are isolated at the database itself with row-level security on every table, sensitive PII is encrypted at rest under a vault-held key, and every change is written to an append-only, SHA-256 hash-chained audit log that makes tampering detectable.

How secure is it?

Per-tenant row-level security on every table, encrypted PII, a tamper-evident hash-chained audit trail, multi-factor authentication, and a live security & trust dashboard. The platform is being built against ISO 27001 and SOC 2 evidence requirements.

What does it integrate with?

Accounting via Xero, contractor-compliance networks like Avetta, and email/SMS notifications — all through a durable integration outbox that retries safely and never double-sends, so an outage at a vendor never loses or duplicates a push.

Does it work offline and on desktop?

Yes. There is an installable Windows desktop app and an offline-capable progressive web app for field crews with poor signal. Pre-starts and signed timesheets are captured on-device and sync when connectivity returns.

Is there AI, and is it safe to let it act?

There is a grounded AI assistant that answers from your own documents, drafts SWMS and tender responses, and can propose operational actions. Crucially, AI never acts on its own: every proposed action is staged for a human to approve or reject before anything happens, and that decision is recorded in the audit trail.

How do I try it?

Request a tailored demo — it adapts to your company's branding and public profile — or take the self-serve guided tour as an Admin, Supervisor or Worker. No real customer data is ever used in the demo.
