Common questions.

How is the worker count enforced?

A worker is any active user with a Worker Portal login. If you exceed your tier limit, ParallaxOS will prompt you to upgrade — workers are never silently locked out mid-shift, because that would compromise safety. Casual or sub-day workers are pro-rated.

What does "Avetta auto-submission" actually mean?

Avetta is the supply-chain risk management platform used by Tier 1 rail clients (Aurizon, John Holland, ARTC) to qualify subcontractors. Each month they require a safety data submission: TRIFR, LTIFR, incident reports, D&A testing records, insurance certificates. ParallaxOS generates the complete pack in three seconds and pushes it directly to the Avetta API on the Professional and Enterprise tiers. Starter generates the pack as a downloadable file.

Are there setup fees or contracts?

No setup fees on Starter or Professional. Both are billed monthly and you can cancel any time. Enterprise is annual contract with onboarding workshop and bespoke EBA loading included. Annual plans on Starter and Professional are discounted 15%.

Do you offer a free trial?

Yes — a 14-day Starter trial that runs on real configuration. Most subcontractors book a 30-minute demo first so we can show the platform on data shaped like theirs (network, role mix, EBA), then convert directly into a paid trial.

What networks are supported?

All major Australian rail networks: ARTC across NSW, QLD, SA and VIC; Aurizon across QLD, NSW and WA; TfNSW and Sydney Metro; Queensland Rail; V/Line; Metro Trains Melbourne; Metro Trains Sydney; Public Transport Authority WA; and the Adelaide Metro network. Each has network-specific compliance rules and medical requirements built in.

How does Edge Mode work in tunnels?

All data writes go to a local WatermelonDB (SQLite) first, so they always succeed. The sync engine pushes changes to the server when connectivity returns. Conflict resolution is last-write-wins with full audit trail preservation, and every offline write is SHA-256 sealed locally to prevent tampering. The brutalist orange Edge Mode banner activates automatically when the network drops.

Can I migrate from a spreadsheet or another system?

Yes. Workers, certifications, EBAs, and historical timesheets can be imported via CSV during onboarding. On Enterprise, our customer success manager runs a migration workshop. Most subcontractors are operational within one week.

Where is data stored, and who owns it?

Data is stored in Australian regions (AWS Sydney). You own your data — ParallaxOS is the processor. On Enterprise, full data export as a ZIP file is available on demand for Privacy Act and data portability compliance.

What's the security posture?

Every timesheet, D&A test, and pre-start is SHA-256 cryptographically sealed at submission, with GPS coordinates captured at the moment of action. Tamper-evident, ONRSR-defensible. Authentication via Supabase Auth (email + SSO on Enterprise), TLS 1.3 in transit, AES-256 at rest, with row-level security on every table.
